Hopeful for Brentford match
Yoro (undisclosed) is expected to be fit for the next fixture against Brentford after sitting out the last game versus Chelsea with a minor knock, according to Rob Dawson of ESPN.
Analysis: Yoro's injury has reportedly been confirmed to be a slight problem, allowing him to be back with the squad for upcoming action. He was a regular starter in six successive games prior to the issue, and he could feature alongside Harry Maguire in the middle of the back line at least until either Lisandro Martinez (suspension) or Matthijs De Ligt (back) returns to contention.
Injury expected to be minor
Yoro (undisclosed) is dealing with a physical issue that forced him to miss Saturday's match against Chelsea, but coach Michael Carrick was optimistic about his recovery, saying "Hopefully it's only [a] small [issue] but he's obviously not ready for tonight,", the team reported.
Analysis: Yoro missed his chance to extend a run of six Premier League starts as he struggled with a fitness issue, but there's hope that he'll be back for subsequent fixtures. While Ayden Heaven received a rare opportunity against Chelsea, there will be more competition for spots with Harry Maguire and Lisandro Martinez returning from their suspensions ahead of the final weeks of the season.
Ruled out Saturday
Yoro (undisclosed) is ruled out for Saturday's clash against Chelsea.
Analysis: Yoro has been unable to overcome the injury scare in time, confirming the widely held expectation that he would miss the weekend and leaving Manchester United in a deeply difficult position at the back. With Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire suspended and Matthijs De Ligt having not featured since November 30 due to a back issue, manager Michael Carrick is severely short of options in central defense. Ayden Heaven is in the starting XI alongside Noussair Mazraoui in central defense in his absence.
Not spotted in travelling group
Yoro (undisclosed) was not spotted among the group of players who traveled to London to face Chelsea on Saturday and is doubtful to play, according to Samuel Luckhurst of The Sun.
Analysis: Yoro has apparently suffered an injury scare, and if he's out Saturday as expected, that would complicate Manchester United massively due to their lack of depth at the back. Lisandro Martinez and Harry Maguire are suspended, while Matthijs De Ligt (back) hasn't played since Nov. 30. If Yoro is out, Ayden Heaven might start at center-back next to Luke Shaw in what would be a makeshift center-back pairing for manager Michael Carrick.
Keeps clean sheet Monday
Yoro registered one tackle (one won), four clearances and two interceptions in Monday's 1-0 victory over Everton.
Analysis: Yoro made his first Premier League start since Jan. 4 Monday and put together a good defensive performance. He kept his first clean sheet of the season, contributing four clearances, two interceptions, one tackle and one blocked shot on that end of the pitch. He stepped up with Lisandro Martinez (calf) and Matthijs De Ligt (back) both out, a promising performance considering both of them could miss more time with their respective injuries.
Consistent starter defensively
Yoro has started in five of Manchester United's seven Premier League matches this season.
Analysis: Yoro came off the bench in the win over Chelsea and the loss against Brentford, but he's been in the XI in the other five contests. He tends to play alongside Matthijs De Ligt and Luke Shaw at the back, although Harry Maguire has also earned starts of late. Regardless, Yoro isn't much of a fantasy option right now, mainly due to United's continued struggles on the defensive end.
