Four saves in draw
Bizot had four saves and allowed one goal in Sunday's 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest.
Analysis: Bizot got the nod in goal for Aston Villa on Sunday after Emiliano Martinez (calf) was forced out during warmup, and he was beaten in the 38th minute when Neco Williams ripped a low strike from 20 yards inside the near post to pull the match level. He came up with a big-time stop in the second half, sticking out a leg to deny Morgan Gibbs-White after a heavy deflection off Matty Cash, keeping Villa alive while Forest were pushing hard for a winner. The Dutch keeper has now filled in for six Premier League matches this season, recording 17 saves and one clean sheet, and he's set to remain the starter until Martinez is back to full fitness.
Back from ban
Bizot is no longer suspended and is an option once again.
Analysis: Bizot was shown a red card in the club's last outing, but is eligible for play again, serving his one-game ban. The keeper is likely to return to a bench role behind Emiliano Martinez, only starting in four games all season.
Shown red Saturday
Bizot was shown a straight red card in the 45th minute of Saturday's FA Cup match against Newcastle United.
Analysis: Bizot was sent off with a straight red card during the first half of Saturday's FA Cup clash against Newcastle United. The goalkeeper will miss at least one match due to suspension. The Dutchman typically starts in the FA Cup but not in league play, so his absence is not expected to significantly impact the team.
Concedes two in win
Bizot recorded one save and allowed two goals in Sunday's 3-2 win over West Ham United.
Analysis: This is the second consecutive league outing where Bizot conceded at least two goals but both times his team has done enough to come out ahead. He is now up to nine saves, compared to eight goals against through four league matches. Up next for Aston Villa is a meeting with Manchester United on Sunday.
Four saves in win
Bizot made four saves and allowed three goals in Wednesday's 4-3 victory versus Brighton. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 95th minute.
Analysis: Bizot was thrown in just before kick-off when Emiliano Martinez went down in the warm-up due to back pain. The goalie was quickly active in the game, conceding the opener in the 9th minute from a corner that Jan Paul van Hecke pushed in. He grew into the game and dealt better with crosses as Villa turned the scoreline around. His biggest moment came in stoppage time when he produced a superb reflex save to claw away Danny Welbeck's close-range header and preserve the win. Bizot is expected to remain the starter in goal for the Villains until Emiliano Martinez (back) returns from injury.
Concedes three goals
Bizot recorded one save and allowed three goals in Sunday's 3-0 defeat to Crystal Palace. In addition, he was given a yellow card in the 20th minute.
Analysis: Emiliano Martinez (undisclosed) out again resulted in Bizot as Villa's goalkeeper Sunday. After he fouled Daichi Kamada in Villa's penalty box, Jean-Philippe Mateta scored a penalty kick. Marc Guehi and Ismaila Sarr increased Palace's damage to Villa. Bizot will need to redeem himself, though when he can is unknown. Villa can retain Martinez, and the struggling team's previous game indicates that he may be preferred.
